If you have bought a new cable modem and it seems a hard row to hoe to you than don't worry.
Sit back and read this blog carefully because after reading this you will feel it a piece of cake, here i will be telling you what is cable modem, its principle function (its really important to know) and how to set it up anywhere.
ITS PRINCIPLE FUNCTION,,,In general terms you can say that a cable modem uses the coaxial cable ( your common TV cable) to get you to the world wide web with extremely greater bandwidth ( The amount of data that can be transmitted in a fixed amount of time.).

SETUP,,,
First of all have a brief look at your model,,
you will find out that on the front side of your model are 4 or 5 leds,
and on the rear panel are 3 different ports making funny faces at you,
- In one of those ports you will connect the power cord. AS SHOWN IN FIG:
- In the second one you have to screw the coaxial cable. AS SHOWN IN FIG:
- And in the last one you will connect the Ethernet cable provided in the box. AS SHOWN IN THE PIC,
